Product Introduction
The APTS QD50 is designed for use with the Q10 child dummy.
It is used to measure the pressure exerted on the lower abdomen of the test dummy during a crash. The system includes two pressure sensors—one on the left and one on the right—and provides pressure measurement data for evaluating the risk of injury to major organs such as the liver, kidneys, digestive system, and abdominal aorta.
    The abdominal pressure transducers (APTS) we have developed specifically for the Q-series child dummies are designed to meet the relevant requirements of UN/ECE Regulation R129 for frontal and side impact tests of child restraint systems. According to the relevant requirements of UN/ECE Regulation R129, Q-series child dummies must be used in place of P-series child dummies to assess the risk of abdominal injury.
    One of the key differences between the Q-series and P-series child dummies is that the Q-series dummy features abdominal pressure measurement capabilities, with two abdominal pressure sensors mounted vertically on the left and right sides of the dummy’s abdomen.
Furthermore, most NCAP programs worldwide use the Q-series dummies for injury assessment (passive safety). Each sensor consists of a soft yet robust cylindrical elastomeric bladder filled with a specific fluid and sealed with a mechanical cap. The sensor head contains a miniature pressure sensor and signal conditioning electronics. The key design feature of the fluid-elastomeric assembly is its ability to achieve a very high degree of biorealism and accurately replicate the stiffness of abdominal tissue.
